GCS Recruitment, part of nGAGE Specialist Recruitment, today announced a new engagement with RDK to help the community identify and attract expert talent. As part of the collaboration, GCS also joined the RDK Preferred Program and are now a prime, personnel resource partner for the RDK community.
GCS are committed to supplying the best staff to the most forward-thinking companies – building valuable partnerships that benefit all parties. GCS Broadcast, part of the GCS brand, use their agile network of global talent to connect candidates with projects at the very cutting edge of broadcast media. GCS will now help connect their market intelligence and specialist network of broadcast and media professionals with the RDK community. GCS will also help RDK build an accreditation platform, enabling engineers to get a recognised industry standard qualification whilst the RDK skillset and talent pool is being formalised.
Jon Gibbs, GCS Director, stated: “We are excited to engage with RDK’s management team, their open source software platform, and the RDK community. By utilising our extensive experience within the global TV and telecommunications industry, we are well equipped to support the members of this program with a unique central network of talent. We are heavily investing in new software platforms that will help define and build bespoke talent pools extending our reach to the RDK community.”
RDK is an open source software platform that standardizes core functions used in video, broadband, and IoT connected devices. RDK enables service providers to control their device diagnostics data, business models, and apps to improve the customer experience and drive business results. The RDK community is comprised of more than 430 companies including: CPE manufacturers, SoC vendors, software developers, system integrators, and service providers. Globally, the number of RDK devices deployed is now more than 60 million, and dozens of service providers across North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia are in various stages of evaluation, testing, trials, or deployment.
“The relationship between GCS and RDK is beneficial to our community of service providers and ecosystem of suppliers,” said Jason Briggs, Executive Director of RDK. “For RDK, the availability of experienced technical talent is always one of the top areas of need, and we wanted to help address that. We are impressed with GCS’ strategic approach, and we look forward to their support in attracting talented engineers and expanding the talent pool of qualified candidates for the RDK community.”
